Unforeseen Delays
For a variety of reasons, today's update will in fact be up tomorrow. Apologies.
Hello again
Welcome back, as 2012 starts off with a bang.
Apparently, part of the bang in question is in my archives, whose chapters are no longer in order. I'm working on it, and will hopefully have things back under control soon (?). In the mean time, well, there's only ten chapters, and they're numbered, so hopefully not a big problem. If anyone is super-savvy with WordPress, feel free to shoot me suggestions.
That’s all, folks!
For 2011, anyway.
Yep, this marks the last storyline update for the year. Given the holidays, I'm taking a two-week break in order to focus on some things, and Patchwork Magisters will resume fully on January 9th with our next crazy story, "Kryptonite".
But that doesn't mean the site will be quiet! There will still be two updates a week for the next two weeks, they're just going to be a little bit different. Instead of regular updates, I will be providing teasers from the stories found in my ebook editions of Patchwork Magisters, following a suggestion from a reader:
* On December 26th, you can tune in for the opening of "Don't Worry, Be Happy", the exclusive story contained in Patchwork Magisters: Volume I. Some of you have already read this story, but hopefully the rest of you will enjoy the tease.
* On December 30th, we move on to the first of the three bonus stories that will be contained in Volume II when it comes out in January, "Happy Birthday", featuring Blossom's first birthday party.
* On January 2nd, we'll ring in the new year with a taste of "The Statue Got Me High", in which Alice, Meredith, and Yousef have to handle a case without the support of the Magisters' front line.
* Finally, on January 6th, we'll get our first glimpse at the histories of everyone's favorite murderers, the Mythica, with the beginning of Volume II's final bonus story, "Bad To The Bone".
That's it for the year, folks! Happy holidays, and a happy new year. I'll see you all in a couple of weeks!
Heading Out West
So, I'm going on a trip. This shouldn't affect updates or anything - heck, they may even be more reliable since I'm going to be doing a lot of them in advance, so there won't be any of that updating hours late that I do from time to time. But I won't be my usual quick-replying self, most likely.
Incidentally, if you live in Toronto, you really need to go and see Ride the Cyclone. I have heard whispers that they're already sold out on normal tickets, but the Pay-What-You-Can Saturday should still be available for those willing to line up.
Seriously, be willing to line up. The show is as phenomenal as ever.
Good news, everyone!
And unlike when Professor Farnsworth says it, it actually is.
Tales from the Menagerie, which you may recall me mentioning a little while ago, is now online and running its first issue. Said issue includes the first two parts of Holding Out For A Hero, and when that serial is complete, I will be running entirely new and that magazine-only stories for them. What I'm saying is, you should go and check them out.
Illness Break!
Sorry, gang, my head is pounding and I'm a little dizzy. I was hoping to be better today, but I am not, and my buffer ran dry during TIFF, so no update. I'll try to get one out tomorrow.
Patchwork Magisters on Tales From The Menagerie!
Alright, I've appeared on their website, so this seems like as good a time as any to make the official announcement.
Tales From The Menagerie, a fiction magazine that is beginning in October, has agreed to carry Patchwork Magisters serial stories as a part of their ongoing issues. They will be starting with a condensed Holding Out For A Hero, after which I will be providing them with entirely new stories featuring the Magisters. So why not head over to their website, helpfully linked to above, and take a looksee at their work?
This is pretty exciting for me, and I hope it'll be exciting for you, too.
Not Quite As Good
Okay, down side to the Film Festival is that my buffer ran out, and I'm having a bit of writer's block problems with this next bit. There will be an update Tuesday afternoon/early evening, and Friday's update should be up as usual. Apologies for the delay.
Good Times
Man, I love the Film Festival. For those who are curious, I've been posting some reviews of movies I've seen over at my Twitter account. Take a look!
There's some other stuff in the pipeline - I'm expecting my next big announcement to come in a couple of weeks, so stay glued to this space for an awesome surprise!

Thanks, and sorry to anyone who's had that problem.

Especially Arthur. Man I love to hate that guy.
